Seals have multiple critical protective functions in an airplane: they prevent leakage of hydraulic oil, fuel, gas and coolant through O-rings, V-type oil seals and other structures, ensuring stable pressure of the fluid system and normal flow of the medium during flight; their high and low temperature resistant and chemical corrosion resistant materials (such as silicone and fluororubber) can withstand high engine temperatures (above 200°C), extremely cold climates and fuel erosion, protecting the safe operation of core components such as turbine shafts and fuel pipelines.
